Our 6th video on our 2003 pearl yellow Honda Goldwing Trike .. The 10th Annual Andiamo Motorcycle Run out of Haworth NJ, Sunday September 13, 2009. Over 1200 motorcycles ride to benefit Englewood Hospital Foundation, St. Therese of Lisieux scholarships, Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics NJ, Haworth NJ Ambulance, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Memorial Fund for Jersey City Police Detective Marc DiNardo who gave his life in the line of duty on July 21, 2009. This segment of the 50-mile ride is over the George Washington Bridge starting from the New Jersey side and toward NYC. You can see the police escort which looped around on the NYC side coming back toward NJ. It was quite a procession of beautiful machines on both sides of the bridge! (See other video shot from NYC side into NJ). For Event and Portrait Photography, please visit: www.ProofPositivePhoto.com

Oakland A’s & Washington Hospital Team Up to Raise Diabetes Awareness. Oakland Athletics second baseman Mark Ellis recently took a break from his busy baseball schedule to talk to children about a topic that is very close to his heart — diabetes. Ellis grew up watching his paternal grandmother suffer from Type 2 diabetes, the most common form of diabetes, and he has also watched one of his best childhood friends grow up with juvenile diabetes. Those reminders motivated Ellis and his Oakland A’s teammate, Bobby Crosby, to start a fundraising campaign to raise funds and awareness for diabetes. Through the “Putouts For Diabetes Program,” Ellis and Crosby each donate $50 per putout toward their annual presentation to the American Diabetes Association. To help raise diabetes awareness, Ellis teamed up with Washington Hospital to speak to more than 50 children at the Fremont/Newark YMCA in order to promote healthy eating and increased activity in hopes of preventing diabetes.
